Cropping systems choices can directly affect the sowing date for winter wheat, which is among most important variables that determine attainable yields in U.S. Central Great Plains. Our objective was to investigate effect of previous crop on wheat grain yield through modulation and its impact plant available water at sowing, temperatures during critical period determination. A no-tillage rainfed field experiment established 2019 Ashland Bottoms, KS. Winter sown either after summer fallow, full-season soybean, double-cropped or corn—thus, resulting a range dates 270–326 days year (September 27 November 22).
